About Exploring Our World Differently
We appreciate that you found your way here. My name is Tracy Peterson, founder of EOWD, and a parent of an adult non-verbal individual on the Autism Spectrum. My son's special needs have deeply impacted our family in countless ways, including but not limited to financial, career choices, health and wellness, relationships, when and how we choose to socialize, and so much more. Despite the challenges, there are so many more joys and benefits. We believe that ASD is not a limitation to be mourned but a unique opportunity to live and learn through the needs and perspectives of our differently-abled loved ones. While EOWD began as our family mantra many years ago, we welcome all who live outside social norms.

Our Mission
EOWD’s mission is to help others accept and embrace different abilities and perspectives to help ourselves and our loved ones think, act, and grow beyond what is ordinary or expected to become extraordinary and holistically fulfilled.

Our Vision
EOWD's vision is to create awareness and support for people of all different abilities, ideas, challenges, and interests through a community of contributors who embrace differences and share their experience and expertise to help others living outside social norms. While autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and differing abilities play a large part of EOWD, our larger vision is to become a resource for anyone who has experienced the challenges of limited beliefs (self or outside inflicted) or adversity while seeking personal and/or professional development and holistic growth.
